When putting decimals in order, Steve is told to find a number between .675 and .676. is this possible? Why or why not? What number(s) could the answer possibly be?
I think it is possible because 0.675 is equal to 0.6750 and 0.676 is equal to 0.6760, so a number between 0.675 and 0.676 is 0.6755. Other possible answers are 0.6751, 0.6752, 0.6753, 0.6754, 0.6756, 0.6757, 0.6758, and 0.6759.
I think this is possible cuz if a number between that would be a fraction so you add a 5 at the end of the 0.675. Numbers that would be between 0.675 and 0.676 is 0.675i, 0.6752, 0.6753, 0.6754, 0.6755, 0.6756, 0.6757, 0.6758, and 0.6759.
I think it is possible because there are numbers between .675 and .676. In decimals, there are tenths, hundredths, thousandths, ten thousandths, and so on. It keeps on going forever. Then there are more spaces in the decimals. For example, .675 = .6750. The numbers that can be possible are .6751, .6752, .6753, .6754, .6755, .6756, .6757, .6758, and .6759
this is not possible because if wouldhave to to be .675.5 it would make sense if it was a whole number but since it isnt it wont make sense and it wont be a decimal
That is not possible because nothing can go in between except a decimal but a decimal would go if it was a whole numbe but it is not so you can't do anything with it.
I think it is not possible to find any number between .675 and .676, because those numbers aren't whole numbers. So if they were whole numbers, you'd have to make it into decimals. But since those numbers are in decimals, it would make no sense in having .675.5 .
This is possible because a number between .675 and .676 is .6751. You just need to add an extra number to it. The more numbers there are the smaller it is. Also, if you keep counting, you will reach .676.
This is not possible because they are not whole numbers, so you cant find anymore numbers, between them.

I think that's not possible because if you turn 0.675 and 0.676 into fractions there is nothing between them.
ReplyDeletek.k
I think that you can't find a number between that because I think there is no half between .675
ReplyDeleteI think it is possible because 0.675 is equal to 0.6750 and 0.676 is equal to 0.6760, so a number between 0.675 and 0.676 is 0.6755. Other possible answers are 0.6751, 0.6752, 0.6753, 0.6754, 0.6756, 0.6757, 0.6758, and 0.6759.
ReplyDeleteKeep adding zeros and you can keep dividing. Fractions and decimals can go on FOREVER with added zeros.
ReplyDeleteexcellent point especially about it going on forever

ReplyDeleteI think it is possible because fractions can go on and on. They never stop. All you have to do is add zeros
ReplyDeleteDecimals go on and on, they never stop. All fractions can be high if you just add zeros
ReplyDeletethis is not possible because if wouldhave to to be .675.5 it would make sense if it was a whole number but since it isnt it wont make sense and it wont be a decimal

ReplyDeleteI dont think it is possible because I do not know any decimal that goes in between .675 and .676. -Victor

ReplyDeletehow can I find the math packet online?-victor
ReplyDeleteThis is not possible because they are not whole #.
ReplyDeleteThis is possible because a number between .675 and .676 is .6751. You just need to add an extra number to it. The more numbers there are the smaller it is. Also, if you keep counting, you will reach .676.
ReplyDeletethis is not possible becuase there is no number between .675 and 676 well basicaly there is no number betwwen them exept 675 and 676
ReplyDeleteI think this not possible because their would only be numbers in between if it was a whole number.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sarah, I think it is not possible because their would only be numbers or digits between, if the number was a whole number.
